Foam drainage gas extraction is one of the most cost-effective and widely used drainage gas extraction technologies in the later stages of gas field development. It has become an important method for increasing production and stabilizing production in water-containing gas wells. With the establishment of gas well Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure, more and more gas wells have gradually achieved remote automatic foam injection through the addition of equipment such as electromagnetic valves and depth level sensors to the original injection process. This includes remote timed injection, equipment start-stop, system adjustments, and more.

Foam drainage system optimization method:

  • The model consists of two algorithms: deep learning and swarm intelligence optimization, establishing an intelligent drainage and extraction model with the aim of maximizing average daily gas production.

  • Utilizing a big data simulator to predict the foam drainage plan obtained from the algorithm, the optimal foam drainage system suitable for the well can be found among tens of thousands of options.

  • By using historical foam drainage systems of the well and production dynamic data, an intelligent foam drainage system optimization decision-making model is established. The foam drainage system optimized through model iteration can achieve increased production.
